We came across GRAV about 18 months ago, whilst it was still in Beta testing, and quickly realised that the very bold claims made on their website GetGrav.org relating to the speed, and ease of content creation were absolutely spot on.
Between discovering GRAV and the official release, Optik Web Creative helped with bug testing, and was asked to lead the language translation team on CrowdIn for GRAV Core and GRAV Admin. We have also developed a number of plugins (some custom for clients) for GRAV.
GRAV 1.0 was officially released in December 2015, with a large number of templates and plugins, and those number have continued to grow. The last 2 versions of our website (3 including this one) have been developed in GRAV.
In the 12 months since version 1.0 release there has been constant improvement, and enhancement to GRAV and it still goes on. Just in the last few weeks, the awesome Gantry 5 Framework has been brought to GRAV which has brought many new themes and possibilities with new particles (did you see our Christmas Decorations) and Themes. Optik Web Creative have partnered with N8Solutions to develop new and interesting particles, and maybe a theme or two over the next few months - keep your eyes peeled to our blog for more information on that as it becomes available.
Optik Web Creative's Managing Director Rich, has been an active member of the Gitter community since then, both asking questions and helping other users find resolutions to issues.
